Crochet Ebifurai No Shippo Pattern (Inspired by Sumikko Gurashi)

İçindekiler
It all started when my daughter, Mui Mui, learned about Sumikko Gurashi from one of her friends at school. Before I knew it, she and her friends became obsessed, and their absolute favorite character? Ebifurai no Shippo! Or as they affectionately call it, “Ebi.”
Mui Mui has a slight speech impediment, and her /r/ sounds aren’t always very clear. We’re working on it, but the funny thing is—despite struggling with a lot of words—she can say “Sumikko Gurashi” perfectly.
She’s been asking me to make her a mini amigurumi Ebi for ages, but with so many other crochet projects on my plate, I kept putting it off.

Eventually, I found some motivation to finally make her one. Then BB asked for one. And of course, knowing that her friend was the one who introduced her to Sumikko Gurashi, how could I not make her one too? Before I knew it, my house had turned into a mini Ebifurai no Shippo crochet workshop!

This beginner-friendly crochet pattern is an easy amigurumi project, perfect for anyone who wants to make a tiny Sumikko Gurashi plushie.
It’s also a low-sew crochet pattern—the arms and legs are made using bobble stitches, so you don’t need to sew them on separately! The only sewing required is attaching the prawn tail and embroidering the mouth—super simple!

If you’re looking for a free crochet pattern to make a cute and tiny Sumikko Gurashi friend, you’re in the right place! I’ve even filmed a step-by-step video tutorial to make it even easier.

- Use the ultimate finish to close up the bottom of the amigurumi.
